You may ask – what’s with the funny name? “wee pig” as we call ourselves, stands for Women’s Philanthropic Investment Group.
Our inspiration? Create a fun way to learn about investing but with a twist of doing something greater than ourselves and helping out our community. So in January 2008 a small group of women in Seattle assembled to commence the journey.
Our philanthropic mission? To help women and children with their basic needs - whether it be emotional, developmental or physical and get them to a place of self sufficiency.
How do we do this? We work towards our goals through smart investment practices, donations, volunteering and our annual event.
